One of Imani VTC's ultimate goals is to be fully self-reliant: to be able to generate all the food and income it needs to feed its students and pay its ongoing costs. However before this can happen, Imani (like many Tanzanian institutions) are in need of increased capacity through training and development, as well as capital investment in infrastructure. CACHA

Canada-Africa Community Health Alliance (CACHA) seeks to improve the health of rural communities through partnerships to facilitate programs and initiatives for disease prevention, treatment, care, support and education to the most vulnerable.

PROJECTS WITH IMANI:

  • Food- and income generating projects (drip irrigation, pigs, chicken, inter-locking bricks, maize milling)

Waterkiosk

Waterkiosk provides safe drinking water to schools, hospitals, heath centres and rural communities.

PROJECTS WITH IMANI:

  • Borehole refurbishment and maintenance
  • Construction of the water tower providing 10 000L of elevated water storage
  • Renewal/repair of the water distribution system

Karibu is committed to a more prosperous future of disadvantaged and disabled children/youth in Tanzania.

  • Construction of various buildings on campus: dining hall with kitchen, knitting and tailoring workshops and classroom complex, metal fabrication building and guest quarters 
  • Budget support for teacher salaries, milk powder to improve student diets, seminars for the carpentry program
